Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moore, is an amazing Hollywood actress and author Her talents have won her critical acclaim and recognition. Sagittarius. Born in North Carolina December 3, 1960. She's the eldest of three siblings born to Peter Moore Smith, a paratrooper, and Anne psychologist. She is of English-Scottish descent. When her family moved to Germany Moore was a student at Frankfurt American High School where she began appearing in productions. In 1983, she earned the Bachelor of Fine Arts from Boston University. In 1986 she was cast in two roles as Sabrina Hughes, and Frannie Hughes in the As the World Turns. The role provided her with the break that resulted in her success. She starred on the show as the World Turns through 1988. As a result of her character she won an Daytime Emmy Award. In 1990 she debuted in cinema with Tales from the Darkside: The Movie. Short Cuts, both produced by Robert Altman (1993), as well as 3 Women, also productions from Altman (1997) included among her works.
